JCC YOUTH TRIATHLON

TRiKC and the Jewish Community Center are proud to host the JCC Youth Triathlon at the Jewish Community Center on June 25, 2017. The JCC is the perfect venue for a fun and challenging event. The race distances for the various age groups are Tri for Tots: 25 yard kiddie pool walk/swim, .75 mile bike, .25 mile run; Ages 6-10: 100 yard pool swim, 3 mile bike, and 1 mile run; Ages 11-14: 200 meter pool swim, 6 mile bike, and 2 mile run; and Teen Elite: 300 meter pool swim, 6 mile bike, 2 mile run. This event will also feature a competition for triathlon teams.

Those who have not participated in the JCC Youth Triathlon within the last three years must attend the orientation session and packet pickup on the Thursday before the race.

TRIKC LONGVIEW JR. TRIATHLON

On July 23, 2017, TRiKC is once again pleased to host the 25th annual TRiKC Longview Jr. Triathlon presented by the Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation Department. This nationally recognized triathlon is held at the Longview Recreation in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. The race distances for the various age groups are Tri for Tots: 25 yard kiddie pool swim/float/splash, .5 mile bike, .25 mile run; Ages 6-10: 100 yard pool swim, 4 mile bike, and 1 mile run; Ages 11-14: 200 yard pool swim, 6 mile bike, and 2 mile run; and Teen Elite: 300 yard swim, 6 mile bike, 2 mile run. This event will also feature a competition for triathlon teams.

MIDWEST IRON KID TRIATHLON

On July 30, 2017, Ottawa Optimist Club will the Midwest Iron Kid Triathlon for ages 3 to 17. The age groups and distances are: TriKids Mini course, 3-5 years, swim/walk 25 yards, bike .75 miles, run .25 miles; Junior course, 6-8 years, swim 50 yards, bike 1.5 miles, run .5 miles; Intermediate course, 9-10 years, swim 100 yards, bike 3 miles, run .75 mile; and the Long course, 11-17 years, swim 200 yards, bike 6 miles, run 1.5 miles.

JCPRD U Kids Triathlon

August 26, 2017, with races distances for ages 6-10: 100 meters swim, 3.6 mile bike, 1 mile run and for ages 11-14: 200 meters swim, 5.4 mile bike, 2 mile run. This event features a standard youth age group triathlon and it also serves as the championship race for the Midwest Youth Triathlon Series. 

This year’s event will have numerous perks for the entire family including:

 -  Free Chris Cakes pancakes for all participants. Fees for others are as follows: $5 for adults, $3 for children 10 and under, free for children under 2

 - Lots of fun activities for all ages such as:

Free face painting during entire event

Star Wars characters on site

Safety demos including how to properly use a fire extinguisher

All athletes that cross the finish line will receive a super hero

USA TRIATHLON LICENSE

Each event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. All youth participants must have an USAT license. An annual youth license is $10 per year and must be purchased in advance of the race. To purchase a USAT license online, click here.
